Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt
When Joyce Barszcz was 14, she got her first job working in an ice cream shop. While she’d always figured she’d own her own business someday, little did she know then that her career would come full circle. She earned a business degree from Wayne State, worked in hospitality and fundraising, and then, nearly nine years ago, opened a Canton favorite — Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, at Canton Center Road and Hanford, by Planet Fitness. As owner and Chief Waffle Maker, Joyce chose the location to support her hometown. “We love the vitality and diversity here, and we wanted to bring Menchie’s ‘smiles’ to our community. Our team delivers the smiliest service around!”
Menchie’s Takes the Cake Batter frozen yogurt and Rainbow Sprinkles are customer favorites, but Joyce points out their handmade-in-store Frozen Yogurt Cakes — a must-have for celebrations —and their recently launched Acai Bowls for a health boost. “We’re open year-round, and we have a beautiful patio for dining alfresco,” she says.
