CANTON MI- Teknicolors Paints was founded in 1997. There are five stores in the area including, Birmingham, Farmington Hills, Pontiac, Redford and Canton. They serve the painter trade, commercial and industrial users, municipalities and Do-it-Yourself homeowners.
“Paint is not rocket science, however paint coatings are the final touch to making all things look good,” says Kevin Westfall, General Manager. “It is very rewarding for us to see paint purchased for any project such as a small birdhouse or for a job as large as Ford Motor Company World Headquarters. We have a goal of people leaving our locations with a smile.”
They provide extensive customer service and determine what will make their customers’ projects go smoothly, and ask the questions that will allow them to supply the proper products.
“Selling paint is fun for us and we try and make it a fun experience for our customers. We have had many situations, in our short Canton stay, where customers have discovered inexpensive ways to re-due what they have, instead of buying new,” says Westfall. One example is customers with old kitchen cabinets that have discovered the gel stain or cabinet coat paint that can bring new life with minor preparation and cost.
Westfall goes on to explain that they knew Canton was a great city and their customers continually thank them for coming to Canton and have been very welcoming. Since their opening last January, they are now seeing daily signs of growth and look forward to a colorful future. Teknicolors Paints has had great support from the Canton and Plymouth Chambers of Commerce.
